A New Digital Signal Processor for Visual Imaging
CHIPWRIGHTS was founded by a talented team of semiconductor “veterans” who had developed a new kind of digital signal processor (DSP) to better meet the needs of the digital imaging market.
PROBLEM: How to attract global customers to a product concept/prototype in a highly competitive market. This Boston-based start-up needed name recognition and market visibility fast.
STRATEGY: Arcand & Madison took company execs on a cross-country tour to personally introduce them to the top analysts and journalists covering the DSP market. We created the name “visual signal processor” to distinguish their new device from the other DSPs.”
SUCCESS: At product launch the company achieved front page news stories with favorable quotes from respected industry analysts. Major ongoing coverage followed, including in-depth feature stories in top electronics magazines and interest from prospects.
New Software for Human Resources Applications
NUVOSOFT was a small, self-financed company with major multi-national customers that relied on and praised its ERP add-on products. The company focused on product delivery and outstanding service, gradually growing its products to meet more complex customer needs.
PROBLEM: Nuvosoft wanted to reach beyond its limited clients) customer base.
STRATEGY: Arcand & Madison undertook a customer-story campaign. Case studies appeared in trade magazines; customers spoke at industry conferences with and on behalf of Nuvosoft. We also established relationships for them with leading industry analysts and instituted a product review campaign.
SUCCESS: Company and product name recognition grew. Nuvosoft was invited to speak at larger conferences, write articles and advise industry organizations. Product reviews resulted in awards. Larger companies became customers. Nuvosoft was sold, and the president and staff have created another company based on the core values of Nuvosoft that is already building value for a major healthcare customer.
